New regulations but gaps still remain

New regulations introduced last year that we were involved in establishing, include a new set net ban for the entire west coast of the North Island, and protection for Tasman Bay Hector's dolphins for the first time, but gaps still remain. Marlborough Sounds Hector's for example have no protection at all, and the Government recognises the risks of displaced fishing into areas with less protection than others.
